Fred Rogers, better known as Mister Rogers, was a beloved children's television host, author, and ordained Presbyterian minister. Fred Rogers was born in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, on March 20, 1928. He graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, and the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. In 1954, he was ordained a Presbyterian minister. In 1963, he created the children’s television show Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, which aired on PBS for over 30 years. Rogers died of stomach cancer on February 27, 2003.
