Excerpt from Kibbutz Virgin
"I was raised in a strict religious kibbutz in Israel. Sex was a taboo subject and homosexuality was considered a sin. As a young man, I struggled to come to terms with my sexuality and felt isolated and alone.
One day, I met a young man named David. He was also gay and we quickly became friends. We talked about our experiences and our hopes for the future. David helped me to accept myself and to realize that I was not alone.
Together, we explored our sexuality and experimented with different relationships. We learned about ourselves and each other and we grew closer together. Our friendship was a lifeline for me during a difficult time in my life.
Eventually, I came out to my family and friends. It was a difficult decision, but it was the right one. I am now living openly and honestly as a gay man and I am proud of who I am.
My journey has not been easy, but it has been worth it. I have learned the importance of self-acceptance and the power of love. I am grateful for the people who have supported me along the way and I am excited for the future."
