About the Author
Terese Marie Mailhot is a Native American writer and poet. She is a member of the Seabird Island Band of the Sto:lo Nation. Mailhot's work has appeared in numerous publications, including The New York Times, The Guardian, and The Paris Review. She is the recipient of a Whiting Award and a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship.
