With just over seven minutes remaining in Game 6, and the Maple Leafs clinging to a 2-1 lead, Paul Henderson was called for having too many men on the ice. The penalty gave the Dallas Stars a 5-on-4 power play, and they promptly scored to tie the game.

The Stars would go on to win the game in overtime, and then Game 7 to claim the Stanley Cup. The "Too Many Men" call has been debated ever since, with some arguing that it was a legitimate call and others claiming that it was a blown call that cost the Maple Leafs the Cup.

In his new book, "Take Your Eye Off The Puck," author Dave Feschuk takes a deep dive into the "Too Many Men" call and the events that led up to it. He interviews key figures from both teams, including Henderson, Conn Smythe Trophy winner Joe Nieuwendyk, and Stars coach Ken Hitchcock.

Feschuk also examines the broader context of the 1999 Stanley Cup Final, which was a bitter and hard-fought series between two of the NHL's most storied franchises. He argues that the "Too Many Men" call was just one of a number of factors that contributed to the Maple Leafs' defeat.

"Take Your Eye Off The Puck" is a fascinating and well-written account of one of the most controversial plays in hockey history. Feschuk provides a balanced and objective view of the events that transpired, and he does a great job of capturing the drama and excitement of the 1999 Stanley Cup Final.

Whether you're a hockey fan or not, you'll enjoy reading "Take Your Eye Off The Puck." It's a great story about the passion, heartbreak, and controversy that can be found in the world of sports.
